Position Overview

Skillsoft is seeking an experienced sales executive with a history of over performance in quota attainment to join our APAC channel sales team.  As a channel sales director you will identify, recruit, enable and grow channel partners across the APAC region to sell Skillsoft’s elearning content and related platforms. Our channel team is passionate and enthusiastic about sales, the channel and enabling our partners’ clients to address their learning requirements.  This role will work remotely in Asia from their home office to grow the channel, support partner growth and manage all aspects of the channel sales cycle.

Position Description

  • Identify new partners across the Asia Pacific who are enthusiastic and capable of developing Skillsoft’s brand in their markets and re-selling Skillsoft’s e-learning content and related technology products.

  • Proven record of taking existing sales territories and placing them on steep growth trajectories year over year.

  • Well developed understanding of the elearning space within the enterprise, education, government and B2C learning segments.

  • Individual contributor comfortable sourcing partners from scratch, closing opportunities and managing ambiguity.

  • Brings a break through growth mindset, tenacity, resilience and an ability to handle complexity and a large territory. Able to get things done, overcome obstacles and maintain a calm demeanor under pressure.

  • High energy executive that can undertake considerable travel, often at short notice, to develop a large pipeline and exert their personality and urgency to close contracts.

  • Able to engage and persuade senior executives, including CEOs, within the channel and be viewed by these executives as strategic contributors to their growth and market share.

  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision. Collegial mindset. 

     

Desired Skills and Experience

  • A minimum of 12 years success sales experience in a complex sales environment, including channels. 

  • Able to routinely over achieve sales quotas. 

  • Viewed by peers as an industry leader.

  • Consummate deal maker, able to create win win value propositions that add to our partners’ competitiveness and revenue and to Skillsoft’s growth. Able to convert these discussions into contracts.

  • Able to represent partners’ needs within the wider Skillsoft team and contribute to a partner centric culture within Skillsoft.

  • Fluent and productive in the use of SFDC and other business productivity tools.
