Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action.
Advise on investment activities and provide strategies that the company should take
Maintain the financial health of the organization.
Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans.
Develop trends and projections for the firm’s finances.
Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met.
Manage the preparation of the company’s budget.
Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken.
Skills/Requirements
Scope Data/Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
· The employee will be working in an office environment with limited business travel. However, it will require some business travel to the various fabrication plants, thus exposing the employee to Foundry operations. The employee will be exposed (very briefly) to the following working conditions: Extreme Heat and Cold, Noise, Vibration, Oils, and Atmospheric Conditions such as Dust, Fumes, and Metallic Particles.
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities and Traits:
· Requires a minimum of a BS in Accounting or Finance. Must have a working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and an understanding of the policies and procedures employed by U.S. Pipe. Must have five years cost accounting experience and a thorough knowledge of the manufacturing process. Must have strong PC skills. Knowledge of Cognos, SAP and Essbase preferred. Must possess strong communication skills to effectively communicate with employees at all levels within the organization.
