Job Description

 

Union Square Events is seeking a Banquet Manager to join the team at the Conrad Hotel!

 

The Banquet Manager is responsible for overseeing the union line staff both during event setup as well as on the floor during events.  The Banquet Manager is also responsible for the overall cleanliness and organization of the back of house areas. The ideal candidate will be comfortable effectively managing union staff.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Union Staff and Liaise with Back of House Team on Food Service Logistics
  • Accurately Maintain and Organize Inventory of Product and Supplies
  • Ensure rigorous knowledge of and adherence to all applicable laws, policies and procedures

Requirements and Skills:

  • At least 1 year of supervisorial experience in large scale, fast-paced environments
  • Bachelor Degree or Equivalent Experience
  • NYC Food Handler’s Certificate
  • TIPS Certified
  • Proficient in POS System (Micros)
  • Strong Computer Skills ( Microsoft Office, Delphi, Meeting Matrix, CaterXpert preferred)
  • Knowledge of OT and NY State Labor Laws
  • Knowledge of Union CBA and MOU
