Concession Manager, Citi Field

Reports to: General Manager, Citi Field

Job Summary: We’re looking for a Concession Manager who will oversee the daily operations of the Union Square Event brands within Citi Field, home of the New York Mets. This position is directly responsible for ensuring excellent service and hospitality for guests during each event and reports into and works with the General Manager of Citi Field to liaise between Aramark and external partners. The Concession Manager is tasked with the responsibility of building a culture of Enlightened Hospitality, while ensuring the venue remains profitable and delivers on excellent product and service. This is a seasonal, high-volume food service position and our ideal candidate is not only enthusiastic, but highly motivated and passionate about hospitality, food and beverage.        

 

Core Tasks and Key Responsibilities

 

 

  • Concession management of all Union Square Events locations: Shake Shack, Blue Smoke, El Verano Taqueria, Box Frites and Papa Rosso. Specifically focusing on outstanding hospitality, excellence, and operational efficiency of all brands.
  • Ensure that our company’s four family values of Excellence, Hospitality, Entrepreneurial Spirit, and Integrity are reflected in the location’s culture, both on service and off.
  • Be a constant representative of Union Square Events at Citi Field to ensure that performance is up to company standards.
  • Inspire the staff to provide warm, caring, accommodating and knowledgeable service to all guests of the USE concession concepts.
  • Along with the Citi Field management team, assist in overall profitability of concepts at Citi Field.
  • Hold employees accountable for effectively completing their position’s specific job responsibilities according to USE’s service and hospitality standards.
  • Perform required routine administrative functions during service (Micros, accounting, comps, voids etc.)
  • Assure that all guests’ needs are met or exceeded throughout service.
  • Address employee concerns and problems through coaching and conflict resolution.
  • Manage employee performance as a way to continuously address concerns, resolve problems, counsel or reward.
  • Schedule staff according to pars to ensure payroll costs are in line with budget.
  • Maintain inventory tracking though stands while adhering to Union Square Events and Aramark accounting procedures.
  • Attend USHG continuing education management classes to ensure professional and cultural education.

 

 

 

Qualifications

Relevant Knowledge, Skills, & Ability:

  • Operating knowledge of high volume, fast casual food service operations.
  • Expertise in cash handling.
  • Experience in leading, training, and mentoring hospitality teams.
  • Ability to professionally represent our brand and business partners in all forms of communication and interactions with employees, guests, clients, and business partners.
  • Intermediate/Advanced computer skills required to order product, schedule employees and conduct monthly inventory.
  • Proficiency in multiple POS platforms
  • Staff management of 75+

 

 

Education/Experience:

  • 2+ years of concession or venue management in a Sports & Entertainment environment.

    Work Environment:

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule which includes days, nights, weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to work long hours walking, standing and climbing stairs for several hours at a time
  • Lifting requirements range from 10-50lbs
  • Must be able to stand, reach with arms and hands, bend and stoop, kneel and crouch more than 50% of the time
  • Must be able to work in environments with fluctuating temperatures

    Certification:

  • NYC Food Handlers Certificate

    Language:

  • English
