Position Overview
Skillsoft is currently looking for experienced Financial Analyst located in Nashua, NH. Provide analytic support to management of our Technology function, as well as perform routine and special tasks for the Manager and Director of Financial Planning and Analysis. Primary responsibilities include forecasting and reporting financial projections for assigned areas by which management can efficiently run the business. Also take part in the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting process, as well as analyze and report on actual versus budget/forecast performance. Perform ad hoc analysis as needed.

• Analyze and report financial results to enable management to better track budgets vs. actuals and improve monthly close process
• Assist the Manager and Director of FP&A with the annual budgeting, monthly re-forecasting and analysis of assigned areas
• Create and maintain functional area departmental budgets and forecasts
• Ad hoc analysis and strategic projects as required by management
• Establishment and maintenance of timely reporting metrics for functional management

Required Skills, Experience and Abilities:
• Background in accounting and finance
• 1-3 years of experience in financial planning and analysis
• Ability to work with various systems and programs, both those that are currently in place and those that may be implemented
• Support build-up of Operating plan
• Excellent written and oral communication skills are necessary to communicate with all levels of staff and management including executives
• Ability to work effectively with senior professionals
• Hyperion Planning experience preferred
• PeopleSoft or other financial systems experience desired
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel for modeling and analysis
• Ability to work with little supervision
• Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple engagements and manage rapidly changing assignments in a team environment
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation

Education and Certifications:
• A Bachelors Degree or equivalent is required (B.A. or B.S)
