Job Description

Role Summary:

To provide inside sales support, account and order management for the USP Project Services Dept. and our customers for the purpose of meeting the objectives of the department. Plans, organizes and monitors sales order requirements for special lined and fabricated products at the plants and with outside suppliers and vendors. Coordinates with Project Managers and Scheduling Departments to insure the timely scheduling, manufacture and shipment of special coated/lined products from the plants and vendors to the customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinates all assigned orders to include all tasks required to process and expedite the order accurately and timely and to insure customer satisfaction. This includes order entry, providing quotations, checking pricing, coordinating with other departments, notifying customers of shipment information, and assisting other Inside Sales Reps.
  • Coordinate with Manager, Purchasing, SP and IS on sourcing decisions. Insures lowest cost logistics and best service strategy for 401 lined fittings, pipe, and fabricated pipe. Maintains vendor relationships with key suppliers identifying and resolving any issues that would affect superior customer service and performance. Coordinates 3rd Party purchase orders for fabricated products.
  • Coordinates, plans and schedules special coated and lined pipe products with the plants and vendors.
  • Provides information to Project Manager and outside Sales regarding the current status of special coated/lined product sales orders as required.
  • Provides Sales Dept. and/or customers with pricing on bills of material. Also provides all information necessary to meet customer inquiries, and works with customers to offer alternatives to help resolve problems.
  • Maintains and files all proper records related to customer inquiries, orders, etc.
  • Monitors, evaluates, and presents solutions to potential problem areas affecting Customer Service.
  • Assures compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills/Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong working knowledge of inside sales, order processing, products, product specifications, production scheduling techniques, special coating/lining applications, and shipping needed.
  • Proficient computer and communication skills are required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years college preferred or 4 years Inside Sales Representative I or II experience in Customer Service.
