Position Overview

Skillsoft is currently seeking a talented Service Design Architect to join our Solution Services team. The Service Design Architect represents the full range of service offerings across all categories of Skillsoft product and technology. Working in collaboration with Customer Sales Directors within the Inside Sales group, the Service Design Architect conducts discovery and presents capabilities of the relevant Skillsoft services, as they relate to products and technologies. When situations present opportunities for sale of non-core services, the Service Design Architect determines scope, crafts services solutions and creates proposals to meet customer needs.    

 

Position Responsibilities

Has an expert understanding of the services catalog offered through the Solution Services group.

Supports the Inside Sales team (both pre and post sales) to engineer viable service solutions that assist the Customer Sales Director in winning services business for Skillsoft.

Develops services solutions to support customer implementation of Skillsoft products and technology.

Establishes influential relationships with diverse customers, including business owners, by using superior consulting and communication skills.

Delivers highly refined presentations in a virtual setting.

Prepares written documents to include proposals, contracts and statements of work.

 

Desired Skills and Experience

At least three years of experience in technology-based learning solutions and/or service sales; expertise in Learning and Development, e-Learning and Blended Learning design and implementation.

Possess an understanding of common web technologies (browsers, HTML, JavaScript, etc.). Intermediate to advanced skills in common MS applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Ability to understand and communicate both strategic and technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Superior consulting, listening and communication skills, evidenced by the ability to establish influential relationships with customers.

Superior presentation and facilitation skills for meetings (in a virtual setting), demonstrating the ability to lead calls, and listen and question effectively.

Excellent written communication skills, demonstrating the ability to write with purpose, clarity, and accuracy.

Effective project management and organizational skills.

Superior skills in critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making, which balance analysis with responsiveness for independent, solution-focused action.

Superior self-directed work habits, exhibiting strong initiative, drive, creativity, maturity, self-assurance and professionalism.

Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to act as a strategic partner to the client and the sales team.

Customer Focused – personally demonstrated that both external and internal customers are a high priority by identifying, and responding to their needs in a timely and efficient manner.

Excellent customer service skills.

 

Education and Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
