BASIC FUNCTION

The Manager of Marketing will drive the management and execution of marketing programs for Cognition Financial and Tuition Management Systems product brands. This role will also assist with other strategic programs to maximize client and customer growth and drive the development and communications of product messaging and positioning to both external and internal constituents through collaboration with sales and product groups and other functional areas across the organization. This includes proactively identifying ways to maximize marketing opportunities and also the support the national school sales cycle through development of sales tools/aids. The Marketing Manager will also support corporate positioning and brand management efforts. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Collaboratively outline integrated marketing plan and roadmap for marketing deliverables based on the prioritization of requirements across multiple product lines
• Consult with product and sales groups to build product messaging, positioning and value propositions that are relevant to defined customer base and market opportunities
• Work closely with product and sales groups to ensure execution of strategic and tactical plans to support product and sales goals
• Create product-related marketing materials including web site management, collateral, sales tools, articles, ads, etc.
• Maximize media opportunities across product lines and client segments
• Develop promotional campaigns and product branding opportunities

 

 




Skills/Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum of 6-8 years experience in marketing and communications
• Experience in B2B or digital marketing is preferred
• Ability to create copy for websites and printed materials
• Experience planning and managing multiple, complex marketing campaigns to budget
• Strong technical skills-specifically regarding the development and support of web-based communication and management tools
• Solid knowledge of productivity, web-related, and various design applications 
• The candidate must have an undergraduate or graduate degree, ideally in Marketing or Communications 

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS 
Office environment working with personal computer for extended periods of time
