Job Description

As a CRM Business Systems Analyst, the candidate will elicit, analyze, specify, validate and track the business needs of project stakeholders in their use of the Skillsoft CRM applications. This includes interviewing, gathering and compiling user requirements to convey to development teams throughout the software lifecycle. The Business Systems Analyst is expected to apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to support the development process and ensure that project deliverables are met according to specifications. This requires an understanding of the business objectives, deliverables, and the detailed tasks associated with the entire project, from inception to project closure.

Responsibilities
• Acquire in-depth knowledge of the information needs for multiple business areas in order to effectively translate business needs into functional specifications used by software developers.
• Schedule, lead and document interviews with all the stakeholders and document how the project impacts them. Identify stakeholder needs and concerns to flush out their requirements. Captures risks and concerns during requirements sessions.
• Facilitate design meetings and requirements gathering sessions.
• Develop a solid working knowledge of the Skillsoft implementation of Salesforce.com and its administration.
• Assist with the administration activities of Salesforce and add-on components in support of the Salesforce administrators and developers.
• Develop best practices and processes that adhere to the overall Skillsoft CRM strategy.
• Work closely with Business Intelligence team to help define and maintain the Skillsoft Master Data Management Strategy and ensure adherence to that strategy across the CRM ecosystem.
• Create and fully document high level and very detailed requirements, specifications, business process flows/models and diagrams for current and future state business process.
• Document business, technical, security, risk, standards, and other requirements as applicable.
• Document functional and technical specs, including documentation of complex business rules.
• Engage business users to participate in testing and data validation efforts.
• As needed, perform independent ad hoc data and report validation and testing to confirm desired functionality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years IT experience; 5 - 8 years business, sales and technical requirements analysis and testing.
• Must have experience working with and supporting key business units (Sales, Sales Operations, Customer Support, Marketing, Product Management, etc.)
• Must have a working knowledge of Salesforce.com.
• Must have experience working on CRM applications, custom application and/or database projects.
• Well-versed in analyzing complex business processes, proposing and explaining multiple solution options, and negotiating a compromise where appropriate.
• Excellent analytical and creative problem solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Focused and assertive with strong customer service orientation.
• Curious, goal oriented, highly self motivated and directed.
• Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills; Able to effectively lead discussions.
• Solid understanding of technology and technological interdependencies.
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Must know standard MS Office Suite Word, Visio and Excel.
