The Procurement Administrator will report to the Director Strategic Procurement and will support all activities related to the procurement of quality goods and services at lowest total cost.
As Procurement Administrator, this individual will be responsible for executing and managing the Procurement process of designated commodities, specifically CapEx, to reduce the total cost of ownership for goods and services while ensuring uninterrupted supply.
Responsibilities:
• Communicate with vendors regarding all new purchase orders; establishes lead times and order delivery status.
• Utilize Enterprise Resource Management systems (PeopleSoft) to enter purchase requisitions and purchase orders
• Provide purchasing support to all Business Units and/or functional areas to ensure Procurement representation and participation in all issues related to meeting business requirements
• Resolve any internal or external issues related to quality, cost, delivery, etc. to minimize the risk of interrupted supply
• Ensure internal & external relevant data collection
Qualifications:
EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s degree
• 1-3 years plus of Indirect Strategic Procurement experience
• Ability to function from a stable state of independence, displaying ability to manage assignments without significant oversight
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to multitask and adapt priorities quickly with attention to detail and organization
• Effective and advanced communication skills
• PeopleSoft system knowledge preferred
• Microsoft office skills
