POSITION OVERVIEW

Skillsoft, a pioneer in the field of online learning with a long history of innovation, is seeking an experienced Senior Software QA Engineer with iOS and or Android testing experience in our Hyderabad office. This individual will be part of the Mobile App QA team responsible for testing the Skillsoft Learning App – an application that understands each person's individual preferences and style. Using adaptive learning it will predict the user’s needs which will aid learning discovery by making appropriate content recommendations that are available anytime and anywhere through the Skillsoft library.

The ideal candidate should have a passion for software quality with a strong track record of delivering highly technical projects on time to high quality standards, and genuinely enjoy working in a collaborative environment.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

·         Work with the team to write Quality focused test strategies

·         Work with the team of QA engineers on our mobile projects in Designing, writing and execute detailed Test Cases across iOS\Android apps.

·         Review the design and specification of features within QA team.

·         Be able to estimate testing effort and effectively prioritize to meet deadlines

·         Play a key role in the bug triage and prioritization

·         Actively participate in weekly project meetings\calls

·         Develop and maintain automation tests and repository.( in our continuous integration initiative)

·         Work with the development team, business analyst, project leads, and others as necessary in our agile development lifecycle.

·         Define and communicate the accurate mobile test strategy and provide qualitative and quantitative status/defect reports in a timely fashion.

·         Track and analyze test results and work closely with developers to isolate and reproduce defects.

·         Complete assigned projects in a timely manner and within project parameters.

·         Provide excellent technical guidance to junior team members so that their abilities and project quality are enhanced.

·         Respond to problems in a timely, effective manner.

·         Contribute ideas to improve our QA processes and best practices based on your extensive experience

WHAT YOU NEED

·         Strong communication skills

·         Minimum 5+ years software testing experience in a product development company

·         2+ years of iOS\Android testing experience is must.

·         Experience with web technologies such as HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript

·         Experience in Developing,  Create, prioritize, and organize test cases into logical suites for execution for mobile applications

·         Expertise in testing mobile applications on the major mobile platforms: Android and iOS

·         Experience in configuring Emulators and working on different mobile networks, protocols, and Mobile devices.

·         Strong knowledge of mobile native and mobile browser technologies.

·         Knowledge of automation testing and manual testing.

·         Experience in Automation for Android & iOS mobile applications(any Automation tool Appium,Monkey Talk ,Selendriod etc)

·         Execute test cases and report results in timely manner.

·         Ability to function effectively in a fast paced environment and manage continuously changing business needs.

·         Hands on any programming knowledge (Java or C#)

·         Able to write detailed test cases and clear and concise bug reports

·         Familiarity with defect tracking systems and test management tools

·         Experience in testing apps that deliver multimedia content is a distinct advantage.

·         Automation Experience in Selenium, JUnit, JMeter ,SOAPUI(Added Advantage)

·         Experience in working with DB queries(Added Advantage)

·         Work in an Agile test environment (Added Advantage)

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
