Job Description

Primary Function

• Leading the growth in team, quality, reputation, and financial performance for learning content projects.

• Has the unique position of overseeing the entire production schedule and being able to balance and prioritize needs across all functions, with the timely and efficient delivery of the videos being the ultimate goal.

• Accountable for managing the day-to-day pre and post production

• Manage Stakeholder expectations, delivering learner/user centric designs/assets. Provide support to internal and external stakeholder groups involved in content development

• Partner with global cross-functional teams in a collaborative design process Responsibilities/Duties

• Ability to interact with stakeholders to understand the technical requirements clearly

• Ability to provide effective and usable solutions to compliment learning/ instructional design strategies in 2D and 3D.

• Design, document and Implement production/development, design guidelines and workflows and processes.

• Mentor the team to enhance their leadership skills, production knowledge and collaboration

• Coach and guide team on design, process and production excellence

• Ability to quickly adapt and reuse components from existing courses into new ones. Create various content types 3D/2D, Infographics, Animations, Graphics and videos based on concepts, business requirements and or script.

• Deliver feedback to direct reports, ensuring excellence is fostered and acknowledged; participate in and support the feedback process for all team members

• Interact and work closely with global stakeholders, Manager, Head of design and Project Manager

• Organize and support tracking of team resources, including project assignments and progress against goals and objectives

• Support hiring to build and maintain a world class team. Benchmark team capabilities and lead initiatives/programs that enhance team skills and capabilities according to project requirements.

• Identify recurring issues in the content produced by the project teams and take corrective and preventive measures.

• Management and maintaining animations library; defining suitable library structures and processes for global use. Ownership and accountability for version control.

• May be required to work on once-off projects/initiatives or ongoing project work as required or other duties, responsibilities, and special projects as assigned from time to time

Prerequisites:

Core Skills

• 10+ years of hands-on work experience in fast paced eLearning content development/ production organization in a similar role leading design teams, global projects is essential for this role.

• Hands-on experience of leading eLearning projects using 2D, 3D assets, Motion graphics, Info graphics and Animations is essential for the role.

• 3D Pre production – Modeling, Texturing, Rigging and Animation or 3D Post production – Lighting, Rendering, Compositing and Editing.

• Excellent communication (excellent written and verbal skills), influencing and presentation skills, with excellent attention to detail.

• Team Management and customer/client interaction experience is essential

• Excellent attention to detail

• Strong project management skills will be an advantage

• Understanding of the user-centered design process will be an advantage

Qualifications

• Education requirements required include either a Master or Bachelor’s degree in arts or animation

• Advanced level proficiency and understanding of design, and animation and using the following software’s – Adobe CC, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Maya, Fusion, Adobe Premier Pro, Mental Ray& Arnold

Portfolio

• A strong portfolio is critical for this role, both in terms of demonstrating your experience and as an example of your ability to create a compelling design presentation. Your portfolio should showcase your experience in animations for eLearning and interaction design, particularly where stakeholder/customer requirements are not clearly defined. We would like to see a diversity of projects and a solid collection of outcomes and deliverables (flows, mock-ups, and prototypes), with demonstrations of the design and thought process behind each project.
