Job Description

 

Union Square Hospitality Group is seeking a Private Dining and Sales Coordinator to join the team at GreenRiver in Chicago!

 

This position is based full time in Chicago, Illinois.

 

The Private Dining and Sales Coordinator is responsible for the collection, organization, and preparation of materials needed to support the planning and execution of private dining and catered events. The Private Dining and Events Coordinator will work closely with the Private Dining Manager to ensure efficient and seamless execution of all events while providing enlightened hospitality to our clients. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast paced, non-stop environment, is adept at prioritizing tasks, possesses excellent communication skills both with external clients as well as colleagues, loves solving problems, building long lasting relationships, and creating positive outcomes. This position is expected to work independently and collaboratively while embodying our Family Values of hospitality, excellence, entrepreneurial spirit, and integrity.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely collection, organization and preparation of materials needed to execute events.
  • Communicate event logistics internally to other departments and externally to clients.
  • Maintain a database of potential clients.

Skills &Requirements:

  • Previous hospitality or catering experience  
  • Strong computer skills/Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
  • Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Problem solving skills
  • Technology savvy to learn Tripleseat and CaterXpert software quickly
  • Initiative & follow through
