Job Description

Whether it is Full-Stack, Front-end, Back-end, Mobile, Data or some combination thereof, do you consider yourself as having a keen interest and insight into the tools, technologies and trends Developers are using to change the world in which we live? If so, you might just be the person to join our IT Content Curation team.  

We are seeking an individual who will be responsible for identifying, collating, categorizing and curating Skillsoft’s developer content assets in order to facilitate the optimal presentation of those assets within Skillsoft’s learning environments.  With an ever-expanding library of developer assets, we need a curator to curate all of our content in order to perfect our users’ consumption of our learning content.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with the IT & Developer product management and content curation teams to iterate on a developer taxonomy & classification for content assets.
  • Actively participate in global content management (metadata, tagging, and categorization) for content assets.
  • Monitor, research and identify emerging IT topics
  • Identify resources for meeting curation needs
  • Cooperate and participate in tool development & process definition (e.g. work with engineers to scale the tagging CMS and classification engines)
  • Monitor and support the depth, scope, currency and accuracy of Skillsoft’s content assets and actively maintain an assets’ lifecycle
  • Analyze data generated from learning environments and provide real-time recommendations to Marketing, Product Management & Planning teams for improvements to content assets, product strategy, build plans and/or learning environments.

 Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree, preferably in library and information sciences.  

Skills Required:

  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced global and cross-functional development environment
  • Background in developer technologies
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with the ability to meet challenging deadlines
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service and team-oriented management

Experience using virtual collaboration tools and technologies (i.e., Webex, SharePoint, etc.)
