Position Overview

Skillsoft is seeking an experienced Marketing Content Manager to join our Boston based Corporate Marketing team.

This creative and detail-oriented individual will focus on the production of major content assets and programs across all stages of the buyer’s journey.

As a key contributor and author of content spanning a number of channels and delivery mechanisms, the Marketing Content Manager will create content that fuels demand generation to reach, engage, and convert prospects—feeding sales pipeline and accelerating customer conversations.

The ideal candidate is a great story-teller who will bring an approachable, engaging tone that will shape our brand and voice.

Working closely with subject matter experts (internally and externally) and the product, sales and marketing teams, the Marketing Content Manager will drive the development of a wide range of content, such as blog posts, e-books, videos, infographics, newsletters and webinars (and more!) to help fuel our full-funnel program strategy and drive measurable results.

Position Responsibilities Include:

Develop and maintain a rolling editorial and content calendar tied to key themes that support our overall go-to-market strategy.

Build and execute on a content roadmap to support Skillsoft and SumTotal marketing campaign plans.

Develop content “offers” and assets including but not limited to white papers, infographics, ebooks, case studies, videos, email campaigns and web content to drive thought leadership, prospect engagement, and quality lead.

Work with Marketing Operations to build out nurture strategies that align to personas and the content roadmap.

Adhere to SEO best practices and ensure all relevant content is appropriately keyword-optimized Conduct regular audits, reviews and reporting to measure content performance across relevant and actionable KPIs.

Desired Skills and Experience

Superb written and verbal communication skills (writing samples required)

3+ years of B2B content marketing experience in a fast-paced, collaborative digital marketing environment Journalism background and SaaS, or enterprise software experience a plus, but not required.

Experience working with content marketing partners/technologies that integrate with marketing automation systems a plus, but not required.

Desire to work cross-functionally and coordinate with Sales, Business Development, Product Marketing and other departments.

A natural storyteller with a journalistic approach to creating meaningful and engaging stories.

Proven experience developing a range of content types to support key influencer and decision maker personae across their buyer journey.

Superb organizational, project and time management skills with attention to detail required; ability to work quickly and independently to generate high-quality first-draft content.

Self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative and innovative environment

Education and Certifications Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or related field Minimum 5 plus years’ experience in marketing communications, technical writing, or corporate marketing
