Position Overview

Reporting to the Senior Director, Business Intelligence, the Business Analytics Manager will act as a corporate data steward and resident expert in data availability, logical organization and relationships between data elements and business practices.

The Business Analytics Manager will be responsible for supporting Skillsoft strategic studies by ensuring data hygiene processes are followed by business partners, data assets are available and ready for analysis and by leading the development of deep data-driven analyses.

Position Responsibilities Include:

Developing a pragmatic and practical Knowledge Management strategy to support Skillsoft’s strategic strategy across a wide variety of business areas.

Champion the standardization of processes that generate data elements used in analysis and maintain document on lineage and definitions of data elements to support consistent usage in analysis.

Develop a consistent taxonomy/KPI definitions and categorization of Skillsoft product set against competitors.

Work closely with other groups that generate and manage data assets and tools to represent FP&A and

Business Intelligence resource needs Develop and package analyses that illustrate drivers of business trends and provide data-supported recommendations to business leaders.

Evangelize Business Intelligence mission and identify opportunities to influence decision making with supporting analysis.

Identify opportunities for additional data resources that support Business Intelligence strategic objectives Collaborate across a range of business functions including technology, sales, marketing and product development

Work closely with the Business Intelligence group, Competitive, Product and Sales leadership.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

Demonstrable experience in developing taxonomy and its deployment.

Demonstrable experience in documenting business requirements for data analysis.

Experience in managing projects involving multiple stakeholders and/or regions.

Proven achievements resulting from data analysis.

Good working knowledge of digital content businesses.

Highly proficient in data manipulation and analysis applications (i.e. SQL, Tableau, Lumira)

Solid understanding of statistical analysis (Experience with a statistical package such as R, MATLAB, SPSS, SAS, Stata, etc. a plus)

Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite of applications.
