Position Overview:
Skillsoft is currently seeking ambitious and professional Sales Consultants to help us with new account acquisition within a defined territory. Upon successful completion of our in house training program, incumbents will embark upon a rewarding career as “hunters”; bringing their prospecting skills to a new level. They will walk prospective clients through the entire sales cycle beginning with prospecting and concluding with a customized business solution for a new customer. The ultimate goal of this position is to broaden the Skillsoft customer base and develop long term business relationships.
Position Responsibilities:
Identifies opportunities with potential customer accounts
Develop and maintain relationships with new buying accounts
Utilize professional selling expertise and business acumen to meet and exceed sales targets within a broad geographic sales territory
Prepares sales forecast
Works with the sales organization in the development of account research, assignments, and analysis
Responsible for managing deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring and summarizing progress of account penetration

A tested and proven track record in sales, with 2-5 years in a sales environment, B2B preferred
Advanced negotiation and objection handling skills are essential
Previous Salesforce experience a plus

Education and Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree is preferred
