Position Overview
Skillsoft is seeking a talented Senior Tax Analyst to join our Finance team.
The Senior Tax Analyst will be involved in all areas of tax reporting to ensure compliance with tax laws in an accurate and timely fashion. This position requires taking the primary role in the gathering of data for the Company’s income tax returns as well as other recurring reporting. The Senior Tax Analyst will review Sales and Use tax returns and provide guidance and support to the Tax Analyst with respect to Sales and Use taxes, Property taxes, and Annual report filings - excellent organizational skills are a requirement. The candidate will assist the Global Tax Manager in responding to tax audit questions, will conduct research, and participate in other tax-related projects as required.
Position Responsibilities
Assist the Global Tax Manager with oversight of the Company’s Tax Compliance with respect to U.S. Federal and State Income taxes, Canada Income taxes, and other countries as needed. Oversee the preparation of and review Sales and Use tax returns, as well as GST returns.
Assist the Global Tax Manager with U.S. Federal and State income tax computations, including book/tax differences, completion of supporting workpapers, related account reconciliations, and other documentation, as well as quarterly tax provision data gathering.
Assist the Global Tax Manager with tax audits – This includes up-front identification of audit issues and strategies, attending occasional meetings with auditors, and preparing draft responses to Information Document Requests.
Provide an internal point of contact for responses to technical questions arising in the areas of Sales and Use tax, Income taxes, and other areas of responsibility as assigned.
Draft written responses to tax notices from various governmental authorities.

Education and Certifications
B.S. in Accounting/Finance. M.S.T. and / or CPA preferred.
4 to 7 years of corporate tax experience or experience in public accounting.
