Position Overview
Skillsoft is currently seeking a talented Customer Sales Director to join our Compliance Solutions team.
Successful candidates will to develop, maintain, and grow an ongoing sales pipeline.
The Customer Sales Director will work remotely from a home office to manage all aspects of the sales cycles within an assigned region.
Ideally we are seeking talent in the NY, NJ or CT regions for this role.
This role will report directly to Compliance Solutions Regional Vice President of Sales, North America and will have direct interaction with Product Marketing, Sales and Sales Support personnel, and Customer Service personnel.
Position Responsibilities
Collaborate with Compliance Business Development Consultants to ensure strategic territory management
Develop, maintain, and grow an ongoing sales pipeline in conjunction with the sales consultants by leveraging prospecting skills to identify, qualify and close new business
Set face to face meetings with business leaders and decision makers including “C” level executives within our target marketplace
Utilize professional selling expertise and business acumen to meet and exceed individual and team sales targets within a broad geographic sales territory
Deliver high impact customer presentations that articulate Skillsoft Compliance Solutions’ value proposition
Develop a thorough understanding of the Skillsoft selling process
Work closely with sales management to ensure consistent progress toward individual and team goals
Collaborate with senior executives to enhance the existing go-to-market strategy, resulting in significant growth
Work closely with Product Marketing and Product Development to ensure product offerings deliver a unique customer experience
Establish sales and service best practices

Rich understanding of Food Services Compliance marketplace preferred
Strong grasp of compliance solutions sales strategy with a demonstrated ability to execute
Ability to clearly articulate the link between customer business problems/initiatives and compliance solutions to develop a unique value proposition
A keen understanding of the steps involved in a sales cycle and the ability to leverage each stage to advance the sales is required
Strong relationship building skills both internally and externally are essential
Must operate with a sense of urgency and demonstrate a positive, winning attitude
5+ years’ experience in sales with demonstrable excessive quota achievement
Experience selling in a consultative sales approach environment
Experience with cold calling, business development and account development
Competitive, goal oriented, self-motivated individuals who thrive in a team environment
Education and Certifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
