Union Square Events is seeking a Private Dining Room Manager for GreenRiver in Chicago, Illinois!

We’re looking for an intelligent, confident, organized and thoughtful individual who exemplifies USHG’s core Family Values of hospitality, excellence, entrepreneurial spirit, and integrity. Must have sales experience in Catering or Private Dining operations in a high touch, fine dining environment. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast paced environment, is adept at prioritizing tasks, possesses excellent communication skills both with external clients as well as colleagues, loves solving problems, building long lasting relationships, and creating positive outcomes. Works both independently as well as comfortable managing others.  A passion and understanding of culinary operations will ensure seamless communication with kitchen teams.  The ability to be strategic, flexible, proactive, calm under pressure, resourceful and efficient is in your DNA. Superior written and verbal communication skills, strong decision making ability, sense of urgency, empathy and attention to detail is crucial. 

Candidate Capabilities:

• Possess the ability to manage the full life cycle of an private dining events
• Must prioritize all facets of event coordination
• Strong communication and listening skills to effectively deliver accurate messaging to both guests and teammates
• Maintain and understand department financials including bookkeeping and forecasting
• Strength with understanding and participating in various marketing strategies
• Develop and nurture client and community relationships
• Maintain accurate knowledge on hours of operation, relevant service and facility information

The Ideal Candidate will possess:

• 2 years of restaurant or catering event planning experience
• The ability to make connections with guests and create raves
