Position Overview
Skillsoft is currently seeking a talented Marketing Content Writer to join our Boston based Corporate Marketing team.
The Marketing Content Writer will be responsible for developing and executing marketing content to create awareness and drive demand for Skillsoft solutions.
The Marketing Content Developer will develop a variety of marketing content types, including white papers, sales presentations, email communications, social media posts, customer case studies, newsletters, lead generation and lead nurture campaigns and other projects as needed.
The ideal candidate will have excellent writing skills and the understanding of the strategic role of content in multi-faceted marketing campaigns.
Position Responsibilities
Write and edit content to support lead nurture efforts, including emails, scripts, collateral and sales tools
Work with product managers and practice managers to develop and write white papers and solutions-oriented communication materials
Identify potential customers for case studies and then interview, write and obtain approvals for case studies
Support social media efforts with writing of blog posts, tweets and updates to various sites
Work with sales and product teams to develop compelling PowerPoint presentations, datasheets and other materials to support Compliance solution value proposition
Collaborate with various internal and external colleagues and agencies on all deliverables
Work with demand generation team to create messaging to ensure that campaigns are performing and improve over time
Analyze existing content and look for ways to repurpose within marketing campaigns
Desired Skills and Experience
Experience in enterprise software or e-learning a plus but not required
Experience working with B2B direct sales force is helpful
Writing is the primary skill needed – but successful candidate must be a top-notch communicator, able to work with many different constituents across the company
Strong team skills and ability to work with remote teams
Strong proficiency in desktop applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and understanding of Web best practices
Occasional travel may be required

Education and Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or English
1-3 years’ experience in marketing communications, technical writing, or corporate marketing
