Position Overview

VP of Public Relations & Analyst Relations for Skillsoft is responsible for leading the Company's corporate reputation/brand communications strategy.

This role will also be responsible for the strategic development of all communications for:

  • The Office of the CEO (in partnership with the CCO)
  • Corporate PR and Employee Communications
  • Public, Media, Analyst and Influencer Relations
  • Corporate Issues and Incident Management

The VP of Public Relations & Analyst Relations will have significant interaction with senior and executive management --- including the CEO. 

All Company leaders are expected to bring strong technical and functional skills to their role and, equally importantly, to lead through personal values consistent with Company's corporate values.

The VP of Public Relations & Analyst Relations will have a successful history of building strong teams, applying strategic thinking and executing effectively to deliver a track record of sustained accomplishments.

Position Responsibilities

  • Shaping messaging and strategy around media relations, analyst relations, speaking engagements, awards, and internal communications
  • Spearheading media relations and industry analyst/influencer outreach, building/nurturing relationships
  • Acting as global communications conduit among business leads/stakeholders/PR leads in EMEA, APAC, and North America
  • Cultivating and managing speaking opportunities for executives and preparing/training executives for speaking engagements, as needed
  • Keeping internal teams apprised of strategies, plans and execution
  • Establishing PR success metrics and tracking

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 8-10+ years of communications, PR and AR experience; agency and B2B technology/Internet experience preferred
  • Senior level management experience and/or experience growing an agency or practice area
  • Proven track record generating new ideas and opportunities to expand media traction and level of engagement
  • Ability to independently create and implement integrated communications, including the integration of digital and social programs into PR, and execute seamlessly across multiple projects with success
  • Experience leading and growing a multidisciplinary team
  • Extensive media relations experience in both trade and business press
  • Strong editor and writer who can teach PR and marketing writing
  • Collaborative, team-oriented approach to PR
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and drive
  • Willing to travel 20%.
