Primary Function

•                    Leading the growth in team, quality, reputation, and financial performance for learning content projects.

• Lead/ Implement the vision for the user experience and associated framework and assets for learning content products; follow through with the communication, processes and tactics to implement the vision
• Manage the design and development team in terms of producing quality design products.
• Accountability for Usability Design, Conceptualization and Visualization, Graphic assets Creation, Creativity
• Manage Stakeholder expectations, delivering learner/user centric designs/assets. Provide support to internal and external stakeholder groups involved in content development
• Partner with global cross-functional teams in a collaborative design process

Responsibilities/Duties

• Ability to interact with stakeholders to understand the technical requirements clearly
• Ability to provide effective and usable design solutions to compliment learning/ instructional design strategies
• Design, document and Implement production/development, design guidelines and workflows and processes.
• Coach and guide team on design, process and production excellence
• Usability Design: Ability to create Visual and UI design, graphic assets based on product requirement and market trends
• Review UI, visual design, graphic assets and provide necessary feedback and thoughts to meet stakeholder/ product requirements.
• Ability to analyze and come up with visual strategies using design and colour principles, based on the learning goals, audience profile and other functional specifications.
• Conceptualization and Visualization: Ability to come up with visualization ideas to help production team and Design/develop using written instructions in the scripts/storyboard.
• Ability to quickly adapt and reuse components from existing courses into new ones. Create various content types Infographics, Animations, Graphics and videos.
• Graphic Creation: Ability to create illustrations, icons, and maintain consistency in terms of style of the illustrations and colour usage. Illustrations based on product requirements and design specifications. Suggest an optimum style based on available production time and budgetary constraints.
• Creativity: Ability to create out-of-the-box solutions using available tools and ability to convince the stakeholders on usage of the recommended solution,
• Ensure the deliverables are completed as per the scheduled time
• Interact and work closely with global stakeholders, Head of design and Project Manager
• Organize and support tracking of team resources, including project assignments and progress against goals and objectives
• Support hiring to build and maintain a world class team. Benchmark team capabilities and lead initiatives/programs that enhance team skills and capabilities according to project requirements.
• Identify recurring issues in the content produced by the project teams and take corrective and preventive measures.

•                    Management and maintaining graphics library; defining suitable library structures and processes for global use. Ownership and accountability for version control.

•                    May be required to work on once-off projects/initiatives or ongoing project work as required or other duties, responsibilities, and special projects as assigned from time to time

Prerequisites

Core Skills

• 10+ years of hands-on work experience in fast paced eLearning content development/ production organization in a similar role leading design teams, global projects is essential for this role.
• Excellent communication (excellent written and verbal skills), influencing and presentation skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Team Management and customer/client interaction experience is essential
• Strong working knowledge of user mental models, task-flow/state-transition diagrams, storyboarding, wire framing, creating design specifications and guidelines
• Hands-on experience of leading eLearning projects using 2D,3D assets, Motion graphics, Info graphics and Animations
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong project management skills will be an advantage
• Passion for learning and organisational development and new methods that will enhance learning
• Understanding of the user-centered design process

Qualifications

• Education requirements required include either a Master or Bachelor’s degree in either fine arts, applied arts, commercial arts, interface design, visual design or industrial design
• Advanced degree / certification in Usability, Interface Design, visual communication design or related field is highly desired
• Advanced level proficiency and understanding of design, and animation and using the following software’s – Adobe CC, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Maya etc.

Portfolio

• A strong portfolio is critical for this role, both in terms of demonstrating your experience and as an example of your ability to create a compelling design presentation. Your portfolio should showcase your experience in visual design for eLearning and interaction design, particularly where stakeholder/customer requirements are not clearly defined. We would like to see a diversity of projects and a solid collection of outcomes and deliverables (flows, mock-ups, and prototypes), with demonstrations of the design and thought process behind each project.
