Gramercy Tavern is looking for an experienced, servant leading, hospitalitarian to join our Family as our Service Manager! 


A Service Manager for Gramercy Tavern will be responsible for all aspects of the daily operations and service standards of the restaurant. A Service Manager will formulate and monitor service department goals, supervise the dining room and/or private event execution, constantly connect dots with guests and ensure each guest has a memorable experience, develop and oversee in-service training programs, teach service excellence in a variety of formats, evaluate service team staff members, perform opening or closing managerial responsibilities, work collaboratively with the rest of the management team and perform additional tasks assigned by the General Manager.





Skills/Requirements
  • 3+ years of Restaurant management experience
  • Ability to lead, teach and inspire to achieve operational service standards and embody our Family Values
  • Ability to identify opportunities throughout the operation, presenting well thought out solutions for improvements
  • Superior organizational acumen, prioritizing time and tasks with optimum efficiency  
  • Full cycle project management: ability to plan, organize, direct, delegate, follow through,  and holding team members accountable
  • Superior communication skills
  • Proficiency with restaurant software applications (POS/Avero/OpenTable)
  • NYC Food Handlers License
  • TIPS Certification
  • Extensive Food & Beverage knowledge
