Position Overview
Skillsoft is currently seeking an experienced Sales Manager to manage, develop and coach a team of Account Managers in our established Inside Sales team in Rochester, NY.
As a key member of our sales force, the Manager will lead and contribute to the success of Skillsoft through the focus of the respective team’s retention and growth of existing accounts revenue.
Position Responsibilities
Coach, mentor, motivate and lead Account Manager team members
Work with Account Managers to focus on retention and growth of the account revenue within assigned territories
Drive behavior for Account Managers to consult with clients in defining learning goals, success criteria and program strategy, in order to ensure the customer perception of value that leads to sales renewal and expansion
Collaborate when needed with team members and colleagues across the business
Assist in the recruiting, staffing and training to grow and maintain a sales team
Formulate and execute on quarterly sales plans
Conduct weekly forecast review and quarterly business review sessions with each representative
Manage productivity, funnel of opportunities and quality to ensure teams meet established goals and standards
Assist Account Managers with client meetings, presentations, negotiations, and customer satisfaction
Coach and provide feedback to Account Managers in the areas of sales/personal development, direction and focus
Ongoing process improvements, recommendations and implementation of these
Assist in managing programs to achieve target goals for team and individual representatives
Ability to work flexible hours required

Must be a team player
Excellent communications and leadership skills
3-5 years successful sales experience
1-3 years successful sales management experience, preferably leading a team dedicated to retention and growth of existing accounts
Experience selling in the technology field required
Success in building, growing and managing highly prolific sales team
Familiarity with technology based training software
Familiarity with MS Office and database applications
Customer Focused – personally demonstrated that both external and internal customers are a high priority by identifying, and responding to their needs in a timely and efficient manner
