Job Description:

This position will have oversight of an inside sales team of over 60 inside sales professionals with overall responsibility for achieving sales and profit objectives in a Business-to-Business Solution Sales environment. 

Job Responsibilities:

Primary goals include inspection of the sales pipeline, personnel management, and the establishment of objectives for the team.

Recruit, motivate and aggressively grow a regional sales territory to ensure maximum revenue growth.

Be creative and know how to close sales and generate repeat business that further leverages the company and customer’s position in the market.

Secondary goals include acting as a strategic partner to both the inside and outside sales team as well as the SkillSoft customer base.

With major/global accounts, provide direction and foster teamwork to the global field sales team.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related area of education; or an equivalent combination of training and experience

Possess 8-10 years experience in successful senior sales management; targeting corporate accounts and managing teams of inside sales account professionals

Proven ability and experience in the development of regional account plans and strategies for aggressive market penetration

Knowledge of demand generation, lead generation, net new business and account management

Knowledge of web development and project scheduling tools, preferably MS-Project

Microsoft Office

Operating Systems – Windows 98/NT/2000/XP

Skills Required:

Superior skills in critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making that balance analysis with responsiveness for independent, solution-focused action

Superior self-directed work habits; exhibiting strong initiative, drive, creativity, maturity, self-assurance and professionalism

Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating the ability to write with purpose, clarity, and accuracy

Highly refined presentation skills virtually including corporate/executive briefings

Proven ability to manage discretionary expenses and operate in a fast growth environment

Effective project management and organizational skills, specifically managing complex, and concurrent projects

Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to act as a strategic partner to the customer and sales team
