Job Description

Union Square Events is seeking a Restaurant Manager to join the team at GreenRiver!

This position is based full-time in Chicago, Illinois.


GreenRiver is looking for a Manager to work as a part of our Front of the House management team and act as an ambassador for our restaurant. The Restaurant Manager at GreenRiver will be an expert at owning their shift, preparing their team, and developing guest relationships in this fast-paced, multi-faceted, events space and restaurant. The Restaurant Manager at GreenRiver will focus on our partners and guests while providing unparalleled hospitality in a team-building environment. This position requires flexibility and a wide range of hospitality, service and business acumen. The Manager actively embodies, inspires, & elevates USHG’s Family Values of Hospitality, Excellence, Entrepreneurial Spirit and Integrity. 





Skills/Requirements
  • Minimum 2-3 years prior fining dining restaurant management experience 
  • Previous fine dining service experience as a server or bartender
  • Ability to teach staff members about service standards and thoroughly support dining room operations during service
  • Ability to engage with guests and staff during service to ensure our operational standards of excellence are met
  • Ability to connect dots with guests and proactively anticipate their needs
  • Superior organizational acumen, prioritizing time and tasks with optimum efficiency
  • Superior communication skills (verbal/oral/listening)
  • Proficiency with Restaurant Technologies and applications (Microsoft Office/POS/Avero/Open Table)
  • Possess a Chicago DPH Food Service Sanitation Manager Certificate
  • Possess TIPS Certification
  • Ability to embody, lead, and teach our Family Values
