The Cafes at MoMA are looking for a talented Dining Room Manager to manage operations in a dynamic multi-unit environment within the Museum of Modern Art. Applicant must possess a love for service, strong organizational skills, and have a passion for guest interaction. Candidate should enjoy coaching and managing a team of 75-100 in a high volume setting. Professional communication skills are a must, as candidate will interact regularly with a diverse range of stakeholders, including our MoMA community.

Skills/Requirements

• 2+ years of restaurant experience in a high volume, excellence driven environment
• Must love interacting with guests and creating raves
• Excellent work ethic and dedication to the hospitality industry
• Must be driven to meet or exceed standards of operational Excellence
• Outstanding written and verbal communication acumen
• Restaurant scheduling, inventory and purchasing experience appreciated
• Ability to work full-time (including early mornings and weekends as well as Holidays)
• Conflict Resolution
• Special Event planning & execution
• Wine, Beer and Spirit Knowledge preferred
• Food Safety Knowledge
• Experience working with POS Systems such as Aloha or Micros
• Staff Education / Motivation
• Recruiting, Scheduling, and Staff Education experience appreciated
