Position Overview
Skillsoft is seeking a talented Revenue and Royalty Administrator to join our Revenue Operations team.
This position will have complete involvement in all aspects of the administration, recording and forecasting of revenue and royalties. The successful candidate will work independently within established parameters, while providing timely and thorough communication with Sales, Finance and external customers.
Position Responsibilities
Responsible for identifying software revenue recognition compliance and accounting issues during and after contract negotiation process
Ensure compliance with Skillsoft financial policies regarding revenue recognition
Responsible for worldwide revenue processing, reporting and forecasting
Responsible for worldwide royalty processing, reporting and forecasting
Track and analyze periodic milestones and acceptance, and ensure proper revenue recognition
Track and analyze reseller reports, and ensure proper revenue recognition
Work with Domestic and International finance teams to reconcile revenue, deferred revenue and royalty journals
Assist in the audit review of the Sarbanes Oxley compliance by third party and internal audit
Responsible for revenue requests during quarterly financial audit and all audit confirms
Respond to royalty partner questions regarding reports and payments
Create and utilize automated tools for the updating, analyzing, reporting and forecasting of revenue and royalties

3-5 years of experience in a revenue accounting role
1-2 years of experience in a royalty administrator role
Strong knowledge of SOP 97-2 and 98-9
Advanced Excel experience
Microsoft Office, email and web-based tools
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Accurately process high volume transactions in fast paced environment
Highly attentive to detail
Strong problem solving skills
Ability to multi task, work independently
Ability to work in a team environment
Education and Certifications
BS in Finance/Accounting or equivalent experience
