Union Square Events is seeking a

Purchasing and Compliance Manager

to join the team at the Conrad NY!

 

The Purchasing and Compliance Manager at the Conrad is responsible for the management and support of daily purchasing and receiving operations as well as the implementation and execution of related systems including but not limited to order processing (food and non-food) and the creation and distribution of daily purchase orders and inventory control. Other specific duties include processing all vendor delivery invoices, database record keeping and maintenance, monthly inventory processing, vendor setup, and product sourcing. Additional supporting roles comprise of assistance in quality control, aid in recipe costing and maintenance, management and filing of all receiving and waste logs, and ensuring compliance of DOH and HACCP standards pertaining to product receiving and food storage.





Skills/Requirements

Technical:

  • Strong Computer Skills ( Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, CaterXpert, FileMaker preferred)

Language:

  • English
  • Spanish (preferred)

Experience:

  • 1+ years of experience in hospitality management, BOH management, and receiving
  • Excellent working knowledge of food ingredients as used in a variety of cuisines
  • Prior purchasing experiences is preferred

Certifications:

  • NYC Food Handler’s Certificate
