Position Overview

SumTotal is currently seeking an individual to join our Product Management team and drive efforts to deliver the most compelling Human Capital Management solutions in the market.  In this capacity you will work cross-functionally to develop agile stories and with engineering to deliver industry leading products to market.

Position Responsibilities

• Requirements Definition – work with senior product managers to understand market and competitive landscape and follow agile methodology to develop epics/stories that are actionable by engineering.
• Solution Development – work closely with engineering as product owner to deliver solution to market that satisfies documented requirements.
• Product Quality – collaborate with the quality assurance and customer support teams to ensure that quality product is delivered to market and customer feedback is incorporated back into the release cycle.
• Solution Enablement – assist senior product management and product marketing to successfully enable internal personnel and customers to adopt the solution.

Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies

At least one year of experience in a product management or product marketing role

Experience with Talent Management solutions such as Performance Management, Compensation or Succession Planning is beneficial

Education and Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field

Pragmatic Marketing or PMP certification is preferred
