Job Description
We are looking for a full-time reservationist who is highly motivated and passionate about hospitality to join a dynamic reservations department supporting multiple businesses out of the USHG home office. Key Responsibilities
 
Time and Attendance
 
• Arrive on time and prepared to work for all scheduled shifts
• Correctly clock in and out for scheduled shifts and shift breaks
• Abide by all USHG Policies and guidelines. Information on these policies are available at inside.ushgnyc.com.
 
Guest Relations
 
• Assist with all guest inquiries and consistently provide answers to restaurant specific questions (hours of operation, menus, and reservations availability)
• Demonstrate guest recognition skills. Must be able to identify the names of regulars, food writers/critics, industry peers, and leaders within USHG.
 
Communication and Administrative Skills
 
• Act as the liaison between the guest and front door team during service
• Notate and communicate all guest information and requests accurately
• Demonstrate proper use of the guest notes and reservations notes functions, as well as phone, cake, and pastry order protocols
• Exhibit professionalism when speaking to guests and communicating information
 
Phone System & Reservations Systems
 
• Master in-house extension/transfer system and all OpenTable and Resy functions, including but not limited to the reserve button, guest search function, and future waitlist.
• Participate in reservations office functions, including but not limited to opening the reservations book and handling pre-bookings  
• Follow guidelines for reservations making as described in the Reservations Department Manual
 
 
Relevant Knowledge, Skills & Ability
• A minimum of 1 year experience working in reservations
• At least one year of OpenTable and OpenTable Flex experience
• Working Knowledge of Resy system a plus
•  Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
