Union Square Events is seeking

Catering Captains

to join the team at GreenRiver in Chicago!

 

 

Catering Captains help to plan, prepare and execute event set-up and on-site activities with the goal of ensuring that guests have a favorable event experience. Captains oversee service and supervise a team of servers during events. They also supervise post-event activities such clean-up, inventory and storage of supplies and equipment.  Additionally, Event Captains are an integral part of on-site training and maintenance of USE Practices, Culture, Hospitality and Service to create an unparalleled for the guests and teammates.

All employees will be cross-trained to assist with both 3rd Party Events and restaurant service.

Requirements & Skills:

  • 2 years of  Off-premise catering experience.
  • At least 1 year of supervisorial experience in large scale, fast-paced environments
  • Excellent Communicator; understands & follows written and verbal instruction
  • Attention to detail & organized
  • Team-oriented
  • Initiative & follow-through
  • Leadership & management skills

Certifications:

  • BASSET Certification (preferred)
  • Serve Safe or Sanitation Certificate (preferred)
