Job Description

 

This position is responsible for providing personalized service to all guests dining, sitting at the bar and visiting the restaurant. Prepare and pour all beverages accurately for guests and servers. Handle all transactions timely and accurately and responsible for adhering to all cleaning and sanitation guidelines.  Ensure guest satisfaction by adhering to established policies and procedures as outline in training manual, operating procedures and company’s cultural beliefs.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Arrives to work in full dress guidelines, looking professional.
  • Greets all guests sincerely with a smile, and provide superior guest service.
  • Prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to the drink recipes, quickly, accurately, and without waste.  
  • Restock bar products, garnish trays, and ice bins as necessary throughout shift.
  • Cut fruit and garnishes to specifications for use in cocktails.
  • Enters drink orders accurately and immediately into NetPOS.
  • Maintains cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, tables, sinks, utensils, shelves, and storage areas.
  • Checks ID’s of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.
  • Understands legal responsibilities as a bartender, according to local laws.
  • Adheres to company policies and procedures.




Skills/Requirements

Education/Training:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.

Qualifications: 

  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • At least one year previous bartender experience preferred.
  • Must possess superior guest service and communication skills.
  • Must be friendly and passionate about the guest experience.
  • Must have basic math skills.
  • Must have understanding working knowledge  of spirits/beer/wine

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to move throughout restaurant (standing, walking, kneeling, bending) for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to make repeating movements of the arms, hands, and wrists.
  • Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally and perceive sound by ear.
  • Manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and ability to work with hand above shoulders.
  • Ability to occasionally, regularly, frequently move objects (lift, push, pull, balance, carry) up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to turn or twist body parts in a circular motion.
  • Ability to tolerate exposure to heat, cold, chemicals, and loud/noisy environment.
