Job Description

 

We are looking for a Supervisor to join our Front of House team and help us reopen the Cafes at MoMA in Fall 2019! 

The Front of House Supervisor for the Cafes at MoMA, will assist the Café Management team in preparing the Cafes and the staff for daily operations. This candidate will report directly to the General Manager and Café Management team and will oversee employees during operations. Roles include floor plan development, cash handling and allocation, and drivinKey Result Activities:

Reponsible for preparing for the Cafes at MoMA for opening
o Ensure that all staff are arrived on time (Progressive Discipline to be handled by Café Management)
o Prepare the Floor Plan and section assignments for the staff
o Drive opening of the businessed by ensuring that set-up is efficiently and effectively done in time for opening
o Hold pre-service line-up for staff, informing them of any VIPS, specials and service notes for the day
o Assign duties to employees 
o Allocate correct cash banks to applicable employees 
 
Report any tardiness or any behavioral issues to Management 
Check-in with management prior to opening to ensure that all aspects of the restaurants are ready for guests to arrive 
 
Key Performance Area 2:  Direct/Manage the flow of service 
Key Result Activities:
Ensure that staff members are performing at their best and meeting guest needs 
Interact with guests in the restaurants and ensure that they are having the best possible experience
Remedy any guest issues that may arise throughout service 
Assist the in expediting in the Kitchen when needed during a busy service 
Key Performance Area 3:  Closing down the Cafes   
Key Result Activities:
Responsible for checking out all employees and making sure that all tips and hours are properly recorded
Check-out all banks in the barista and cash bar areas, ensuring that all banks are balanced. 
Ensure cleanliness of the restaurants and make sure that all stations are clean and tidy prior to staff departure
