Union Square Events is seeking

Bartenders

to join the team at GreenRiver in Chicago!


Full-time and part-time opportunities available.

 

Bartenders provide friendly, attentive, and timely service to create an exceptional experience at the bar for all guests. They are the guests' tour guides at the bar and must be welcoming, caring, and knowledgeable. Bartenders must be technically proficient and expert at understanding the food & beverage menus of the business. While driving sales, Bartenders are charged with thoroughly understanding their guests, anticipating their needs. Bartenders must exemplify Enlightened Hospitality in all interactions with our staff, guests, vendors, and the community.

Requirements & Skills:

  • 1+ years of previous bartending experience in fine-dining or casual restaurant setting
  • Comprehensive knowledge of wine, beer, and mixology
  • Must be able to make standard cocktails
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all menu items
  • Understanding of Micros or relevent POS systems
  • Excellent communicator - ability to understand, speak, & follow written and verbal instruction in English
  • Attention to detail & well organized
  • Team-oriented
  • Initiative & follow-through
  • Prioritization & multi-tasking

Certifications:

  • BASSET Certification (preferred)
  • Serve Safe or Sanitation Certificate (preferred)
