Job Description

 

Danny Meyer's Union Square Hospitality Group is looking for an energetic and talented
Line Cook
to work in our fast paced Room Service Kitchen at the Gramercy Park Hotel.

This is a full time position – Evening shifts, 2pm-10:30pm. Availability to cover overnight shifts a plus. 

The cook will be responsible for cooking a variety of food items requested by hotel and bar guests. The cook will be preparing and executing key components of dishes ensuring quality of product and accuracy. 

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Excellent knife skills with the experience of cooking on multiple stations in the kitchen.
  • Knowledge of cooking procedures, safety and sanitation.
  • Able to lift 25 lbs or more.
  • Other duties assigned by Executive Chef.
  • Experienced in using all basic kitchen equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of line cooking, experience with broiling, baking, braising, grilling and following recipes.
  • At least 1 year of professional kitchen experience. Culinary school is a plus but not required.
