We're excited to be opening Marta, our newest restaurant and we’re looking for a
Receiver
to Join Our Team!
 

Marta is looking for a Receiver to join our team. The primary responsibilities for this position include receiving, storing and organizing all the product that enters the restaurant. During the market season this includes retrieving goods from the Union Square Greenmarket and managing relationships with the farmers.
 
This position requires starting the day early and ending early. The ideal candidate would be be a self-motivated, hard-working individual who is passionate about food and wants to learn about working with great product.
 
Candidate Capabilities:
 
Basic understanding of kitchen inventory organization 
Basic understanding of reconciling orders to product 
Basic kitchen etiquette and safety 
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues
 
Physical Expectations:
 
Able to stand for longer than 8 hours (must) 
Able to move or lift 50 pounds on an intermittent basis and 35 pounds regularly (must) 
Able to bend, stoop, lift, reach, push, pull, twist, walk, crouch, and squat (must)
