Job Description

OMNI CONTAINER MANAGEMENT, LLC is the service division of Otto Environmental Systems North America, Inc. and provides waste trash cart assembly, repair, cleaning, and delivery operations.  OCM also offers route audit and GPS system products and services. 

OCM has an immediate need for a Swing Driver in our Southeast regional office.  The job responsibilities of this position are as follows:

Summary:  Responsible for delivery and service needs for all customers within assigned geographical area of service.

  • Driving of service vehicle in geographical service area with multiple stop requirements.
  • Trash Cart Assembly and Repair and Cleaning, which can be performed either onsite or at the customer’s location.
  • If assembly, repair, and/or cleaning are done at the service site, carts are delivered to customer locations.
  • If assembly and repair is performed at the customers’ locations, no pickup and delivery is involved.
  • Service vehicle pre and post trip inspections, cleaning and minor maintenance
  • Facility and yard maintenance including organizing, sweeping, and trash maintenance.
  • Including travel by plane, truck or automobile
  • Communicate with customers regarding services performed, including answering questions and listening to issues that need to be conveyed back to the Field Supervisor.
  • Any other duties mandated by management as necessary to serve OCM’s customers.
Skills/Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  

  • Ability to travel extensively (up to 70%), and sometimes on short notice, to locations across the US
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting to include waste containers of various sizes, tools, or other equipment necessary to assemble, repair, clean, load, or deliver the containers
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and small power equipment
  • Product assembly experience preferred
  • Must be able to read and follow road map instructions and must be able to navigate the local geographical area
  • Must have a valid Class D driver’s license, a safe driving record, and must be able to drive a truck with a manual transmission, and perform basic truck preventative maintenance duties
  • Must be able to meet D.O.T. requirements, one of which is passing a drug screen
  • Must have stable work history and strong work ethic
  • Ability to read work instructions and road signs.
  • Ability to read and understand English and to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.
