POSITION/SCOPE WITHIN THE ORGANIZATION

  • This position reports directly and functionally to the Responder Communications Production Manager


PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Sponsor Communications Production Specialist serves as a member of the team responsible for the production and distribution of items such as the sponsorship registration packets, welcome packets and other sponsor communications (i.e. communications to lapsed sponsors or reassigned sponsors, etc) as well as donor receipts and pledge statements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Result #1 – Contribute as a member of the team that prints and mails all GSC-produced sponsorship communications and donor financial communications (approximate 90% of time).  

  1. This individual will be a key contributor of the Responder Communications Production team which is responsible for:
     a.  Printing all sponsorship communication (i.e. registration packets, welcome kits and sponsor   
          reports), donor financial communications (i.e. pledge statements, receipts, year-end tax
          statements, etc).
     b.  Generating and printing all re-engagement mailers.
     c.  Auditing of donor accounts and communication pieces.
  2. This individual will also be responsible for working with Donor Services to ensure that donation histories are pulling from the data base accurately and with IT to build document templates for all Responder Operations mailers.  


Key Result #2 – Serve on the Cross-Functional Work Team as needed (10%)

  1. The Cross-Functional Work Team helps address short-term staffing capacity issues in the Responder Operations (RO) Unit and fin the Communications Production team by providing support to the Volunteer Coordinator for inventory supply as well as the other area Production Specialist/s in order to print Welcome and Reassignment materials when needed.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Able to work in multiple computer systems (Studio Enterprise, Microsoft Office Products, etc)
  • Detail oriented a must.  Willing to sort through thousands of documents or accounts to validates or makes corrections.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Experience in Mail Merge required)
  • Technical experience with on demand printing of variable data content or similar experience preferred.
  • Able to sit at a computer for up to 8 hours a day doing repetitive motions on a keyboard
  • Able to lift boxes of printed materials up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
  • Able to stand for a couple of hours at a time
  • Able to multi-task and resume routine with multiple interruptions
  • Beginning level knowledge and use of Photoshop, preferred, not required
  • Requires strong analytical skills and ability to problem solve
  • Requires strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong people skills, with the ability to interact with sensitivity and diplomacy with others of different cultures and backgrounds.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or GED, an under graduate degree preferred, 1 year of experience in a business environment or non-profit environment and/or training; or equivalent combination of education/training and experience.  
   
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES  

None

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Proficiency in spoken and written English. Bilingual in Spanish a plus. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
