We are searching for a<br />
<strong>Senior Accountant</strong><br />
to join our growing Shake Shack team!</p>
<p>
<strong>Here’s what you’ll do:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>
Assist with regular month-end and year-end closing responsibilities including, but not limited to, preparing and analyzing a variety of monthly account reconciliations and preparing appropriate adjusting journal entries as needed.</li>
<li>
Prepare monthly variance analysis reports, including analysis of current year revenue and expense accounts against prior periods and budget.</li>
<li>
Assist in the implementation, maintenance and documentation of internal control procedures and systems to ensure compliance with company best practices.</li>
<li>
Participate in new systems development, process improvement and implementation of those changes to our current accounting systems and close process.</li>
<li>
Assist with annual budget process.</li>
<li>
Other duties and ad hoc projects as needed.</li>
</ul>

Skills/Requirements
<p>
<strong>Here’s what you need:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA designation or in process of obtaining credential preferred.</li>
<li>
Minimum of two to four years accounting experience; multi-unit restaurant or retail company experience preferred.</li>
<li>
Strong understanding of GAAP</li>
<li>
Technologically savvy, and excellent knowledge of MS Office products, i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook</li>
<li>
Experience with mid-range general ledger systems (MAS, Great Plains)</li>
