Job Description

The Retail Service Manager II of a specific branch location performs the functions of an RSM II for that specific branch, to include establishing and maintaining quality customer service, various tasks involved in the overall operation of the branch and maximizing sales/profitability by coaching and developing staff, controlling expenses and coordinating the efforts of staff to ensure that functions are completed effectively.

  • Retain branch customers and increase the level of products used by these customer by ensuring each customer receives outstanding customer service and by providing a customer friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging each customer, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of customer service which include initiating and follow-up with customers and staff to sell or resolve problems, answer questions, correspondence and reports
  • Assist in recruiting, training, developing and communicating with all staff as well as assessing performance on a regular basis
  • Plan and assign daily goals, tasks and assignments assuring proper completion and follow-up, which may include performing the duties of CSR and/or Teller as needed
  • Daily monitoring and management of all office tasks including CTR, optical reports, NSF, Teller cash errors, FTE levels and payroll
  • Promote, refer, sell and cross-sell bank products and services, including appropriate loan, deposit, trust, brokerage, insurance and credit products and services
  • Aid CSM with all aspects of promotions and sales calls and assist in monitoring sales performance, through the analysis of sales reports and comparison-shopping.  Assist in adjusting strategies
  • Act as a team leader by assisting all other team members so that Sunflower Bank is represented in a favorable light and actively contributing ideas for constant job improvement
  • Maintain adherence to all company policies and procedures
  • Act as a branch security representative and enforce the Security Policy
  • Responsible for operating under budget
  • Responsible for maintaining staffing with the FTE (full-time equivalency) allowance
  • Responsible for contributing to the corporate growth plan through deposit increases, fee waiver decreases, household increases, cross-sale ratio and provide excellent customer service
  • Market and sell all deposit and loan products
  • Other duties as assigned
Skills/Requirements
  • Previous banking experience preferred
  • Some supervisory experience required
  • Exceptional communication, salesmanship and organizational skills are required
  • Must be able to relate well with others and build effective business relationships to successfully perform the job
  • Proficiency with computer software application necessary in a Windows environment
  • Must be able to work flexible hours
  • Must be bondable
