Responsible for responding to customer inquiries received via the telephone. Available to work varying hours including weekends
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Answer inbound calls and assist customers in a professional manner; placing customer orders, responding to order status inquiries and product inquiries. Recognize opportunities and take the initiative to sell additional complimentary merchandise. Offer solutions and find alternatives to backordered or discontinued merchandise. Exercise good judgment and base decisions on the needs of the customer and the needs of the business. Ability to remain customer focused and respond in a positive manner when faced with difficult or stressful situations. Partner with other departments including external vendors and shipping services to determine pricing, availability and shipping times. Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or state equivalency certification preferred. Minimum of 1 year customer service experience, preferably in a call center environment. Motorcycle knowledge preferred.
Working knowledge of Windows-based PCs including Microsoft Word and Outlook. Proficient in utilizing the internet to research customer inquiries and locate merchandise.
Other Skills and Abilities
Strong oral communication and interpersonal skills, including professional telephone etiquette.
Ability to multi task and prioritize work to meet department set goals.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. Frequently required to reach with hands and arms, bend and twist torso. Occasionally required to walk, lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
