G2 USA is looking for a Direct Marketing Account Associate (AAE) to join a fortune 100, auto and home insurance client team!
The Direct Marketing Account Associate is responsible for assisting the Account Manager with the execution of all client projects to which they have been assigned. The Direct Marketing Account Associate will also assist in managing all aspects of direct mail acquisition, cross-selling and winning back campaigns. They will also help develop strategic creative briefs, develop testing matrices, analyze results and competitive marketplace, and assist with strategy, creative, production and the data processing departments. In addition, they will work on email acquisition campaigns and the development of collateral materials.
Generally, the Account Associate acts as the primary interface between the various agency departments and lower level client staff with regard to executing projects on a day-to-day basis. This position is instrumental in ensuring that all agency departments are updated with regard to schedules, changes/next steps and for maintaining the status of work in progress at all times during the project development process. The goal at the Account Associate level is to seek broad involvement to expand his/her knowledge base and experience in preparation for an Account Manager position. The work involves development of marketing communications materials including direct mail, sales tools, collateral, and newsletters.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Participate in competitive analysis projects by gathering competitive samples and conducting secondary research when needed

Communicate job status and scheduling changes to relevant departments (eg: Creative, Media, Technology, Production, Finance)

Assist in the approval of copy, layout/artwork, media plans and production materials and suggest revisions when necessary

Collaborate with Traffic and/or Project Management on the development of realistic project schedules

Write conference reports, status reports and other correspondence (to be reviewed with account team prior to distribution)

Develop an understanding of the client’s business/industry and how key strategic issues impact client/agency objectives

Begin to develop presentation skills by working with account team in coordinating and generating client and internal presentations

Open jobs, develop estimates, handle billing, and keep track of budgets
