Job Description

G2 USA is looking for an Account Associate (AAE) to work in our San Francisco office.  The Account Associate (AAE) is responsible for the day-to-day execution of all client projects to which they have been assigned. The person in this role works with junior client team members as well as ancillary clients and client vendors. In this position, the Associate begins to manage agency teams across departments and functions throughout project development.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Draft initial creative briefs based on client/agency input
  • Assist in the presentation of creative  briefs  to creative team and other agency departments involved in project development
  • Evaluate copy, layout/artwork, media plans and production materials with the account team and make suggested revisions prior to concepts being submitted to client
  • Develop a solid understanding of production and database management, as needed
  • Collaborate with Traffic and/or Project Management on the development of realistic project schedules
  • Monitor the status of projects to ensure they are on time and on budget
  • Review estimates/billing and approve invoices within budgets
  • Partner with Creative Services to manage items used in creative assets
  • Anticipate delays/estimate overages and address internally before they happen
  • Keep account team informed on relevant aspects of a project and escalate issues accordingly while providing suggested solutions
  • Develop and begin to provide insight on the client’s business/industry and how key strategic issues impact client/agency objectives
  • Contribute suggestions, new ideas, and procedure efficiency recommendations to supervisors
  • Begin to play a larger role in meetings (both internal and client) and deliver presentations clearly, effectively and with confidence
  • Draft effective/timely communications to agency staff, clients, and outside suppliers through conference reports, letters, and other correspondence
  • Assist the account team with the development of strategy documents and proposals
  • Learn how to analyze results, draw conclusions and  begin to make strategic recommendations
  • Help train junior members of the team  on agency procedures and client processes
  •  Ensure that all aspects of agency work are of superior quality and are conducted in accordance with agency procedures




Skills/Requirements
  • BA degree or equivalent work experience required
  • 1-3 yrs. of agency experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Sound analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail with high level of organizational skills
  • Ability to be proactive and intuitive
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  •  Maturity and judgment to represent the agency and client in a polished, intelligent manner

  • Specific skills dependent on discipline area (digital, direct marketing, promotions, etc.)
  • Specific training requirements for level/role must be met
