Job Description


Primary Purpose of the Position

This position is responsible for providing day to day HR administrative support and contributing to the compliance of all the personnel documentation.  This position will also serve as the backup to other departmental functions such as payroll, safety, benefit administration, and recruiting.

  • HRIS database & Team member file maintenance

  • Recruiting & Onboarding Support
  • Payroll & Benefit Administration Support


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Creates and maintains team member records in the HRIS and compiles information from the databases as needed while ensuring compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws and corporate policies and procedures.
  • Enters data about new hires to HRIS and prints all documentation for the team member and the personnel files.
  • Communicates with team members on a regular basis about documentation and answers specific questions of team members on a variety of topics.
  • Supports HR Projects and Initiatives at all times.
  • Collects data and generates basic & standardized HR Reports using Excel and ADP software.
  • Communicates with the state authorities as needed.
  • Assists in the development, implementation & administration of human resources policies, procedures and programs.
  • Serves as the backup to the payroll, benefit administration, and recruiting functions of the department.
  • Provides HR support and advice to team members and department leaders, explaining policies and procedures in a timely and effective manner.
  • Contribute to HR projects such as annual open enrollment, orientation, and new hire packets.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


Educational and Experience Requirements 

An Associate’s degree in and/or a minimum of one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

  • Strong organization skills
  • Effective presentation and communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.  Previous experience with ADP is preferred.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to be self-driven
  • Ability to gain proficiency in the job duties that are trained
  • Must be able to abide to strict confidentiality at all time
  • Ability to manage a large and variable work load, ensuring timely and accurate completion of assigned work
