Job Description

The Entry Level Sales Associate position is designed to develop skills in the selling of Misys’ software solutions, services, and annual support services to businesses. This entry level sales position, consists of three areas;

1) a 12 week Sales Boot Camp located in London, designed to train the Associate in Misys products, our company,  market place and general sales skills

2)  4 weeks back in region job shadowing

3) After the Sales Boot Camp and job shadowing is completed, the Sales Associate will then either be assigned to the relevant Sales Manager.

Depending on both experience and aptitude, delegates may undertake an extended period within the Inside Sales team before progressing to external sales, or may make Inside Sales their career and follow the defined career path for Inside Sales.

In addition to base pay, this position includes eligibility to join a compensation scheme; firstly during Boot Camp and Job Shadowing, then Associates will be able to join either the Inside Sales or Territory Sales Compensation schemes, depending on final job role. Specific description of the Sales Boot Camp and work performed under a specific RSD/RSM:

Entry Level Sales Associate Boot Camp Training Topics

  • Corporate Training, Including who is Misys?, market position, competitors,  internal systems, code of conduct/HR requirements,  commercial policy and pricing, selling the value of Services, selling with partners
  • Introduction to the market:  1. Transaction Banking, 2. Core banking, 3. Capital Markets, 4. Lending, 5. Enterprise Risk
  • Introduction to  Misys’ Solutions Sets, including product positioning and value proposition across those markets
  • Sales Skills Training, including: account planning, cold calling, qualifying, demonstrating, negotiating, objection handling, Misys Sales process, client buying process, Solution Selling
  • Projects to begin in Boot Camp and continue with RSD/RSM’s: Objection Handling Database, Go-To-Market campaign planning and calling, Sales Playbook

Support RSD/RSM in assigned area through the following:

• Manage license maintenance and recurring revenue renewal process within assigned territory.
• Perform demand generation and prospecting activities for the region.
• Meet new account sales quotas for products, services, and support by developing newly qualified leads, and closing revenue recognizable contracts.
• Meet installed account sales quotas for products and services by closing recognizable contracts.
• Compile lists of prospective customers for use within Go-To-Market campaigns as sales leads based on information from newspapers, business directories, Misys ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources.
• Provide customers with technical and functional product information through presentations and demonstrations on projects of moderate scope and complexity.
• Travel throughout assigned region and/or territory to call on existing and prospective customers to solicit orders or talk with customers by phone, e-mail, web conference, etc.
• Analyze customers' needs and recommend solutions that best meet the customers' requirements.
• Other duties may be assigned to support the organization and its goals.





Skills/Requirements
  • Degree level education in numerical, technical or Business subjects or equivalent work experience.
