Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Inside Sales Associate works in collaboration with the inside sales group by helping the inside sales team develop leads in assigned accounts and territories in the healthcare industry. This position will also help by completing sales calls and answering questions about the products as well as directing calls to the appropriate Inside Sales Consultant. As an entry level position, this role will be a great way to enter the field of Healthcare IT and has the potential of moving into an Inside Sales Consultant role.

 

       RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages all Sales related inbound calls from Vitera main 800#. 
  • Engages appropriate Sales Consultant (as defined by set criteria) to follow up on new business leads by forwarding specifics via a lead template and system generated lead (SFDC) to the Sales Manager or the Sales Consultant assigned to the territory. 
  • Enters lead information into SFDC or Marketo for tracking purposes or any other system/method as deemed necessary by Sales Management in collaboration with Marketing. 
  • Engages appropriate Sales Consultant to follow up on incoming sales calls from existing customers and creates a task for the Sales Consultant. 
  • Returns calls to existing or potential customers for additional prequalification information to assist Consultant if Consultant can not immediately return the client’s call.  ISA may also set customer’s expectations as communicated by the Consultant as well as coordinate mutually convenient times (outlook appointments) for conversations between the Sales Consultant and the Customer.
  • If ISA clearly determines customer is in need of another resource other than Sales, ISA will route the call to the proper department via a warm transfer.  If unable to achieve a warm transfer, ISA will create a task for the appropriate resource and communicate to the customer what action has been taken.  ISA will advise the customer to open a case if they are in need of technical support.  ISA will also follow current Escalation Matrix paths as outlined by Management in order to ensure prompt attention is given to customers who need urgent assistance or to address any other sensitive nature.  ISA will communicate to the Sales Consultant any action taken on behalf of their customer.  
  • ISA may be assigned to sales related special projects from time to time.  Special projects may include other specific sales tasks or outbound activities as defined by Sales Management.
  • Under the guidance of Sales Management, ISA will assist with monitoring various sales queues to ensure low abandon rates and optimal speed to answer rates.   
  • ISA is expected to communicate to Sales Management any newly discovered gaps within the current process as it relates to handling incoming calls from existing or potential customers via the 800#.  This will help ensure a gap is addressed immediately.  If a temporary gap is discovered, Inside Sales Consultants may, at a moment’s notice, be required to log into other sales queues in order to handle incoming calls from established sales queues.  Telecom routing is already in place to address this.      
Skills/Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Associate Degree in related field or applicable professional experience.
  • 0 - 3 years of sales experience or related healthcare industry experience a plus.

SKILLS:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; Outlook, Excel and Power Point preferred.
  • Basic sales experience a plus
