We are currently seeking a Digital Marketing Managertolead and oversee the maturing and advancement of J&P Cycles’ growing digital initiatives by developing, managing, and implementing strategic and tactical digital marketing programs.  This position requires a great deal of analytical ability and financial responsibility and will be critical for customer acquisition through driving key business metrics including revenue, profit, traffic, demand, engagement, site conversion, and retention.  As theDigital Marketing Manager you will be directly responsible for:

  • P&L management of digital marketing
  • Strategic thinking and planning
  • Data gathering, analysis, and optimization
  • Analysis of contribution of digitally acquired customers in order to maximize lifetime value profitability
  • Management of SEO program both on-page/site optimization as well as off-site optimization
  • Management and tactical execution of paid search programs (SEM)
  • Management of digital programs including: SEO, SEM, CSE, retargeting, email, and affiliates

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Manage P&L for digital marketing channels
  • Identify and coordinate SEO strategy which positions J&P Cycles for long-term sustained growth in both sales and traffic
  • Work with technical team on technical recommendations across all digital channels (particularly SEO, SEM, and CSEs)
  • Identify keyword opportunities across all channels and work with Brand and Marketing services Supervisor to coordinate on-site content which targets favorable keywords
  • Continually analyze J&P Cycles' SEO rankings and strategy against best practices and oversee implementation of resultant projects
  • Optimize J&P Cycles' SEM program through thoughtful analytical measurement and management aiming to drive ever increasing efficiency
  • Keep abreast of new and emerging advertising and acquisition programs in the digital space
  • Management of new and existing vendor relationships
  • Other duties as assigned

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and/or 6 years of related work experience in an ECommerce setting (B2C a plus). Proficiency in web analytics packages and heavy experience in ECommerce, SEO, SEM (Google, Bing, Yahoo), and have strong understanding of digital trends as it relates to ECommerce customer behavior.  Strong writing skills are required along with heavy use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Visio). Must have strong organizational, planning, and project management skills. Previous experience in developing effective business relationships with vendors and internal team members is necessary.  Proven ability to take direction, gather information, and analyze data in order to create successful marketing initiatives and meet the organization’s objectives. Demonstrated ability to prepare accurate budgets and effectively manage corporate expenses. Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced office environment.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate must have a firm understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives, strong interpersonal skills, ability to present ideas in user-friendly language, be highly self-motivated and self-directed, and must possess the experience and desire to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.  Must have ability to pay keen attention to detail, effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment, and have experience with P&L management and the ability to turn financial data into sound business decisions.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Direct and oversee the marketing activities of a small team and ensure that the team functions appropriately, fostering an atmosphere of cooperation and coordination
  • Oversee project status and briefing sessions with upper management for all initiatives
  • Present monthly/weekly visual direct marketing maps for management review
  • Create and maintain accurate direct marketing historical data and archives
  • Mentor marketing staff to assist individuals in growing and reaching their potential contribution to J&P Cycles
  • Interview, hire, and train employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
