JOB SUMMARY

Vitera Healthcare Solutions, LLC is looking for a User Interaction Designer. We are looking for a fantastic designer who loves working with people and is constantly learning new techniques and patterns and applying the latest breakthroughs in technology. This is a full-time position that will report into the Development Director and can be located in either our Alachua, FL or Tampa, FL office.

 

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  •    Quickly communicate design ideas by sketching and/or wireframing.
  • Create prototypes that demonstrate high-level workflow and/or specific UI interactions.
  • Write high quality design specifications.
  • Work with Usability Analyst to interpret results of customer research and usability studies.
  • Handle and deliver complex projects on time.
Skills/Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

 

BA/BS, Human Factors certificate, or equivalent work experience.

 

 

 

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE

 

  • Understands all aspects of design: including information architecture, visual design, industry UI standards for desktop and web-based applications, and UX best practices.
  • Experience with design tools, such as Photoshop, Axure, Balsamiq Mockups, and Snag It is preferred. Special consideration to candidates with experience in WPF and Expressions Blend.

  • With Customers: Asking open-ended, non-leading questions and then listening carefully to distinguish preferences from requirements
  • With Product Management: Fleshing out user stories and requirements for a large scale product suite.
  • With other Designers: Collaborating on designs - giving and receiving design critique in a professional manner.
  • With Programmers: Translating customer goals/needs, design concepts/details into technical jargon.
  • With Executives: Summarizing to the key points and objectives.

  • Thrives in an agile development environment; able to break down a design into prioritized stores and then adapt to ever changing development and or/or time constraints.
  • Constantly learning new design techniques and patterns. Applying the latest breakthroughs in technology.
